The Dragon
This desing is inspired in the legend of Saint George and the Dragon, which is one of the most important cultural elements of Catalonia. It was done only with color pencils.
In the foreground, at the right corner, we can see the dragon of the legend as main subject of the picture. His conception is a combination of many styles, in which we find classic and modern elements hand in hand with european and asiatic elements.
While the body of the dragon looks like the ones represented in European art, his proud and agressive attitude belongs more to the asiatic dragons. The lines that stand out in his body are inspired in the tatoo art, and add him more dinamism as well as sense of danger.
The whole background is a sort of representation of the catalonian flag designed in asiatic style, disposing the colors and shapes in a way to increase the importance of the dragon as subject.
